Headteacher's Welcome

Gill Bal

Wembley High has an established reputation for a strong focus on academic excellence. Over the last five years we have been the highest-achieving non-denominational school in Brent.

Our mission is clear and simple: we provide a structured, disciplined working environment in which every student receives high-quality teaching and achieves his or her full potential. The School is first and foremost a learning community, which is reflected in its strong work ethic. There is a high standard of teaching across the curriculum with a particular focus on English, Mathematics and the Sciences. All students benefit from the use of state-of-the-art facilities across the science and technology disciplines, major investment in new facilities and resources, the best trained and qualified staff, and a culture of mutual respect.

Spiritual, social and moral provision sits alongside academic excellence at the heart of the School’s ethos. We offer a broad and stimulating range of extra-curricular activities to support wider learning, and provide an education that enables our students to gain places at universities of their choice.

We are proud to serve our local community and provide students with the opportunities to succeed and achieve their ambitions.

WHTC School Recognised in Annual Awards (20/06/16)

It was announced today that Wembley High Technology College has won numerous awards for the Good Schools Guide Awards. These are awarded for the outstanding achievement of the College last year and recognise Wembley High to be the highest achieving school in England for many categories, including the best performance for an English Comprehensive school in Science, English Language and Literature, Spanish and French. Wembley High has been presented with these awards by the Good Schools Guide for out-performing all other English schools in these categories. The prestigious annual awards, which are in their 10th year, are based on a detailed analysis of the most recent examination results, and are designed to highlight consistently outstanding teaching. Executive Headteacher, Gill Bal, said, "We are absolutely delighted to be acknowledged in this way for our excellence in so many categories. This is a very proud moment for us and we are sure it will inspire and encourage all pupils to achieve even higher." The Good Schools Guide Awards are based on a series of calculations which take into account relative popularity and performance of the subject, absolute performance, and percentage of pupils taking the subject. It is the largest independent guide to UK schools and contains over 1300 good schools across both the independent and state sectors.  Gold Award- Boys Geography Gold Award- Boys English Gold Award- Boys French Gold Award- Boys Spanish Gold Award- Girls Additional Science Gold Award- Girls Geography Gold Award- Girls French Gold Award- Girls Spanish Gold Award- Boys Additional Science
