Results 2016

Wembley High is celebrating yet another year of excellent results for both GCSE and A Level. Pupils have worked extremely hard this year and we are very proud of their achievements. Here are just some of the highlights.

GCSE

  • 88% of pupils achieved 5A* - C grades including English and maths
  • 88% of pupils achieved A* - C grades in English with 22% A* - A
  • 95% made the expected level of progress from KS2 – KS4 in English, with 55% exceeded the expected level of progress
  • 93% of pupils achieved A* - C grades in math with 55% A* - A
  • 97% made the expected level of progress from KS2 – KS4 in maths, with 76% exceeding the expected level of progress
  • 75% of pupils achieved the English Baccalaureate
  • 47% of all GCSE exams sat were awarded A*-A grades
  • 88 pupils (43%) achieved 5 or more A*-A grades in their GCSE exams.
  • 47 pupils (22%) achieved 10 or more A*-A grades in their GCSE exams
  • Particular congratulations to the 7 pupils that achieved 10 or more A* grades – a truly remarkable achievement!

 

A Level Results

  • The %A* - B has risen to 58% this year, up from 56% last year.
  • The overall pass rate stands at 99%.
  • 16 students achieved at least 3 A grades, and particular congratulations to Serena Merchant and Komal Mervana on achieving 4A* grades each!
  • 3 students have secured places at Oxford or Cambridge, 7 students are off to study medicine and 36% of pupils have been offered places at Russell Group Universities.

AS Results

  • 50% of all exams sat received A – B grades, up from 45% last year.
  • The overall pass rate remains high at 96%
  • 30 pupils achieved at least 3 A grades, and particular congratulations to the 8 pupils that achieved 5 A grades!

  • Destinations – 97%
