This week’s work is below for your classes. You should also check your emails as some additional instructions from teachers may be sent. Remember to ask your subject teacher if you need any extra help or support with the work.

Year 8 Computer Science

Task 1: Seneca Assignment – Python 3 Programming skills on Modularity

Task 2: GCSE Pod - Please can ALL students complete the following GCSE Pods for Component 1: Computer Systems content and attempt ALL exam questions. Log into: https://members.gcsepod.com/login and complete the following assignments by watching and making notes on each podcast and completing the set exam questions.

  • Extended Deadline 1st May 2020

Previous marked assignments: students must go through the feedback on their marked assignments and where there are corrections; students must reattempt the exam question again and resubmit.

Year 11 Computer Science

Students have started working towards an Inspiring Digital Enterprise Award, known as iDEA which is an international programme that helps students to develop digital, enterprise and employability skills.

Year 9 Digital Information Technology

  • Select and download the presentation on Learning Aim A: Modern Technologies and using Cloud Technologies. Make notes on:
    • how cloud and traditional systems are used together
    • key implications involved for organisations when considering such cloud technologies
  • Complete one class worksheet and one homework using the electronic document
  • Deadline for submission will be set on Google Classroom if you would like feedback

Year 10 & 11 Digital Information Technology

  • Select and download the presentation under Learning Aim B: Data Processing Methods on spread sheet skills and data manipulation methods and make notes
  • Watch videos 1-8 on data processing skills
  • Apply the skills to the raw data which has been provided
  • Complete the template electronically
  • Upload notes, completed spread sheet and template onto your Google Classroom assignment submission
  • Deadline for submission will be set on Google Classroom if you would like feedback
