Outstanding Results Yet Again!

Many congratulations to the pupils at Wembley High on another year of exceptional results. Here are some of the highlights. 

A Level Results

  • The %A* - B has risen to 63% this year, up from 58% last year.
  • The overall pass rate stands at 99.5%
  • 20 students achieved at least 3 A grades, and particular congratulations to Parth Patel (4 A*s), Harsh Patel, Mantra Kusumgar and Parth Vaghani (3A*) each!
  • 2 students have secured places at Oxford (Economics and Management) and Cambridge (Maths), and 49% of pupils have been offered places at the prestigious Russell Group Universities.

AS Results

  • 51% of all exams sat received A – B grades, up from 49% last year.
  • The overall pass rate remains high at 95%
  • 24 pupils achieved at least 3 A grades, and particular congratulations to the 12 pupils that achieved 4 A grades!

We would like to thank all staff and parents for all their support and many congratulations once again to all the pupils.

DfE Performance Tables - WHTC Highest in the Country!

Wembley High Technology College has today (Thursday 24th January 2019) been recognised as one of the highest performing schools in the country once again. With a Progress 8 Score of +1.90, the value added score of pupils at Wembley High from primary school to GCSE is the joint highest in the country! Mr Hathi (Headteacher) said: ‘I would like to congratulate all of our pupils on their incredible successes once again. I know all pupils have worked extremely hard to achieve their GCSE and A Level results last year and they should be incredibly proud of their achievements. At Wembley High, we have embedded a culture of excellence and academic success in everything we do and it is at the heart of our mission to transform the life chances for our pupils. The school’s motto is ‘Achievement for All’ and we truly strive for this and I am particularly proud of the achievement of all groups, including disadvantaged pupils and those with lower prior attainment. I would also like to thank our team of committed staff who have worked with great focus and dedication to ensure every child is reaching their full potential.’ Ms Bal (Executive Headteacher) said: ‘The high levels of achievement and progress are due to the continued dedication of our leaders, staff, students and parents. The academic success of our pupils is at the heart of this and everyone is fully committed to it. Not only are our GCSE results excellent with 90% of pupils achieving English and maths GCSEs and 76% achieving the English Baccalaureate, all students in Year 13 at Wembley High Technology College were offered university places last year with over 50% gaining places at Russell Group Universities on courses such as mathematics, engineering, medicine and economics. The school’s success makes me incredibly proud and I know that we will continue to build on the outstanding work we do. Many congratulations to the students and staff once again.’ The Chair of the Board of Trustees, Kishor Mistry, congratulates Wembley High for its outstanding achievements. Mr Mistry said: ‘The school has grown from strength to strength over recent years and this year’s achievements deserve huge congratulations. Leaders, staff and students have worked extremely hard and their commitment to ensuring the best for every child is unwavering and Trustees and Governors look forward to extending this philosophy and values to all school within Wembley Multi- Academy Trust.’
