This week’s work is below for your classes. You should also check your emails as some additional instructions from teachers may be sent. Remember to ask your subject teacher if you need any extra help or support with the work.

What will I be covering this week? 

This week, you will be making developed points on different extracts and questions from A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

  • Lesson 1 (30 mins): Recapping how to develop an argument.
  • Lesson 2 (30 mins): Recapping how to embed structural and form terminology in to an argument.   
  • Lesson 3 (30 mins): Practising generating arguments independently.

There are optional challenge questions that can be completed from the lesson video.

You will be making developed points on different extracts and questions from The Tempest which include form and structural terminology.

  • Lesson 1 (30 mins): Recapping how to develop an argument.
  • Lesson 2 (30 mins): Recapping how to embed structural and form terminology in to an argument.   
  • Lesson 3 (30 mins): Practice generating arguments independently.

What will I be covering this week? 

You will be exploring non-fiction texts. Particularly, you’ll practise building on your language analysis skills, comparing non-fiction texts and writing creatively.

As an overview of the week, you should have completed the following:

  • Read, annotated and answered questions on each extract in the insert;
  • Completed Fix It improvement (send by your teacher);
  • Practised comparing methods and ideas across two opinion articles;
  • Practised writing in a persuasive speech.
