This week’s work is below for your classes. You should also check your emails as some additional instructions from teachers may be sent. Remember to ask your subject teacher if you need any extra help or support with the work.

Year 7 Spanish

This week, Year 7 Spanish students will be studying the weather.

To start, please complete 'learn' mode for the Summer 1 Week 3 vocabulary set on Quizlet.

Next, please go to the Google Drive below to access the PowerPoint entitled 'Summer 1 Week 3 Lessons' and complete 'Lesson 1' which will teach you how to talk about the weather in the present tense. The PowerPoint lessons now have audio from the teacher to guide you through each class. Download the Powerpoint onto your computer and start the presentation, the audio can then be started by clicking the audio icon.

After that, complete 'match' mode for the Summer 1 Week 3 vocabulary set on Quizlet and complete the PowerPoint slides for 'Lesson 2'. 

Finally, complete the Summer 1 Week 3 Homework in your books, which will help you to review prepositions.

Year 8 Spanish

This week, Year 8 Spanish students will practise the present tense, near future tense and HLIS skills in the context of healthy eating.

To start, please go to the Google Drive linked below. Access the PowerPoint entitled ‘Lessons – Healthy Eating.’ Lesson 1 will involve using Quizlet to learn vocabulary, and reading skills. Lesson 2 will be focussed on using the present and near future tense to speak about the topic of healthy eating. Spend no more than 1 hour on Lesson 1, and 1 hour on Lesson 2.

Audio descriptions have now been added to Year 8 Spanish PowerPoints, so that instructions are clearer. Download the PowerPoint onto your computer and start the slide show. Please click the Speaker symbol in the bottom right hand corner of each slide to hear the instructions. Listen carefully, complete the activities on the slide, then click enter to move to the next slide. Repeat this for each slide.

Next, complete the GCSE Pod Assignment assigned to you. This is called: “Y8 Spanish [Summer 1 Week 3]”. Here is the link:

Year 10 Spanish

This week, Year 10 Spanish students will be studying the irregular preterite tense.

To start, please complete 'learn' mode for the Summer 1 Week 3 vocabulary set on Quizlet.

Next, go to the Google Drive below to access the PowerPoint entitled 'Summer 1 Week 3 activities' which will introduce key irregular preterite tense verbs with Unit 5 vocabulary. The PowerPoint lessons now have audio from the teacher to guide you through each class. Download the PowerPoint and start the slide show. You should then click the audio symbol to start the recording.

After that, log onto GCSE Pod, watch the videos assigned to you and answer the questions.

Finally, complete Homework 3 (the imperfect tense) in your books.
