This week’s work is below for your classes. You should also check your emails as some additional instructions from teachers may be sent. Remember to ask your subject teacher if you need any extra help or support with the work.

Hello Geographers! You will find below links and instructions for Year 7, Year 8, Year 9, Year 10, Year 11 and Year 12  to complete your Geography assignments for this week. If you have any questions, please email your geography teacher.

Year 7

This week you will be learning about how South Sudan can develop in the future. You will need to click on the following link and open the folder called ‘Week commencing 18th May’:

1. Watch the video recording of the lesson and complete the tasks in the video on a word document or in your exercise book (for example, answers to questions and quizzes).

2. Mark your classwork using the mark schemes in the video (you do not need to send these to your teacher this week).

3. Once you have finished the video recording, complete the quiz on the google form sent to you via email – remember to write your full name as the answer to question 1.

Year 8

This week you will be learning about the impacts and responses to earthquakes in developed countries. You will need to click on the following link and open the folder called ‘Week commencing 18th May’:

Year 9

This week you will continue your learning on the topic ‘Weather Hazards and Climate Change’ with a focus upon formation of tropical cyclones.  

To complete this week’s work

  1. Go to your Google Classroom and select the assignment named: Week starting 18th May. Two lessons and recordings will be uploaded to this folder and available on YouTube.
  2. Once you have completed the tasks, upload your answers to the google classroom, this will allow your teacher to give you feedback for you written work.

 

Year 10

You will be completing revision on rivers fieldwork (summer 2019) with a focus on data collection, data presentation, and data analysis.

You will be completing the Weather Hazards and Climate Change topic with a focus on drought in contrasting locations.

10GG4B1, 10GG5B1, 10GG6B1 and 10GG7B1

You will be continuing the Changing UK Landscapes topic including processes and landforms involved in coastal landscapes.

To complete this week’s work

  1. Go to your Google Classroom and select the assignment named: Week starting 18th May. Two lessons and recordings will be uploaded to this folder and available on YouTube.

Year 11

This week you be learning about the impact of sea level rise on coastal landscapes such as the Sundarbans.

Go to the Google drive by clicking here

  1. Double click on the folder 'Week 7 (18.5.20)’.
  2. Watch the recorded video of the lesson and complete the tasks in the video on a word document or on paper.
  3. When you have completed all your tasks, upload to your google classroom under this week’s assignment.

Year 12

This week you will be continuining the A-level topic ‘Contemporary Urban Environments (CUE)’

  1. Go to your Google Classroom and select the assignments in the topic named: Week starting 18th May. The three lessons for the week will be available with PowerPoints and recordings will be uploaded to this folder and available on YouTube.
  2. Once you have completed the tasks, upload your answers to assignment. The deadlines are set for each lesson on Google Classroom.
