This week’s work is below for your classes. You should also check your emails as some additional instructions from teachers may be sent. Remember to ask your subject teacher if you need any extra help or support with the work.

If you are worried about something, always get in touch with your teacher, Year Leader, Mr Jeffery or Ms Lee who will help in any way they can.


Click on your year group: Year 7, Year 8, Year 9 & 10Year 12 Maths and Year 12 Further Maths. Then scroll down until you find your class. Year 11 and Year 13: make sure you check your emails regularly as your teacher will be emailing you directly.

Year 12 Maths

We are continuing with the A2 Pure content. This week we are learning:

Partial Fractions:

  • Lesson 1: Partial Fractions (including repeated factors).
  • Lesson 2: Algebraic Long Division and Improper Fractions

Monday and Tuesday: Visit the Google Drive link and complete the exam pack – how you do this is up to you! You may want to look back at your notes or re-watch the videos. Or, if you feel like a challenge and a test of your new skills, you may want to treat it like an assessment and see how successful you are!

Wednesday: Use the model solutions to check how you got on with the questions!

Thursday: Visit DrFrost. There will be a consolidation assessment made up of questions similar to those covered in the exam pack. https://www.drfrostmaths.com/

Homework: Complete an AS past paper from your exam pack (available in separate Google Drive link) as directed by your teacher (your teacher will email you to let you know which paper to complete).

Remember: A2 Maths is challenging! If you have any problems or do not understand something in a video or exam pack, contact your teacher who will help you out. Send a photo of your working out to your teacher – this will help to identify the problem quicker.

Year 12 Further Maths

This week we are learning:

How to use de Moivre’s Theorem to take powers of Complex Numbers.

Monday: Visit the Google Drive link above or find the relevant videos on the WHTC Resources YouTube channel.

  • Watch each video (there are two).
  • Make notes in your classwork book. 
  • Pause each video when told and complete the practice sections.

Tuesday: Visit the Google Drive link above and complete the relevant exam pack.

  • You can either print this or complete the questions in your book with full solutions.

Wednesday: Visit the Google Drive link above to find model solutions.

  • Mark your exam pack with the model solutions (these are released on Wednesday morning).

Thursday: Visit DrFrost. There will be an assessment to complete that will test your new skills. https://www.drfrostmaths.com/

  • Aim to get all the questions correct! You can retry the assessment if you don’t.
