This week’s work is below for your classes. You should also check your emails as some additional instructions from teachers may be sent. Remember to ask your subject teacher if you need any extra help or support with the work.

If you are worried about something, always get in touch with your teacher, Year Leader, Mr Jeffery or Ms Lee who will help in any way they can.

Year 7 Spanish

This week, Year 7 Spanish students will be learning key facts relating to Spanish customs and traditions.

To start, please complete 'learn' mode for the Summer 2 Week 5 vocabulary set on Quizlet.

Next, log onto Google Classroom. First, complete the vocabulary test assigned to you. Then, download and watch the video, follow the instructions and complete all exercises in your book or on lined paper.

Afterwards, design a poster about Spain and send it to your teacher.

Finally, complete the Summer 2 Week 5 Homework in your books, which will help you to revise the future and conditional tense. You will be able to access the mark scheme on Google Classroom.

Deadline for completion of work and publication of answers: Friday 3rd July.

Year 8 Spanish

This week, Year 8 Spanish students will continue their learning about the Day of the Dead. They will build on their cultural knowledge, and practise their listening skills by watching some clips from the film "Coco".

First of all, log on to Quizlet and complete ‘learn’ mode for the Quizlet set entitled ‘Summer 2 Week 5: Coco, la película’.

Then, please go to the assignment on the Google Classroom called ‘Lessons - Coco Film Project’. These are your lessons for the week. Lesson 1 will involve learning more about how the Day of the Dead is presented in the film Coco. Lesson 2 will focus on recapping how to describe people, and describing the characters in the movie. Work through the lessons and spend no more than 45 minutes on Lesson 1, and 45 minutes on Lesson 2.

Answers to the PowerPoints will be published on Friday. Please complete the work on a Microsoft Word document, your book or paper. If you would like your teacher to check any work, send it to them via e-mail.

Year 9 Spanish

This week, Year 9 Spanish students will be revising vocabulary from Units 11 and 12 and tenses covered this year.

To start, please log onto Quizlet and complete ‘learn’ mode for the set entitled ‘Units 11 and 12 revision’.

Then, log on to your Spanish Google Classroom to access this week’s work. Download and watch the video and complete all exercises in your book or on lined paper. You should also complete your vocabulary test assignment.

Finally, log onto GCSE Pod and complete the assignment entitled 'Units 11 and 12 revision'. Watch the pods and answer the questions.

Deadline for completion of work and publication of answers: Tuesday 7th July.

Year 10 Spanish

This week, Year 10 Spanish students will be reviewing the future tense along with Unit 10 vocabulary, focusing on reading and translation skills.

To start, please complete 'learn' mode for the ‘Summer 2 Week 5’ vocabulary set on Quizlet.

Next, log onto Google Classroom. First, complete the vocabulary test assigned to you. Then, download and watch the video, follow the instructions and complete all exercises in your book or on lined paper.

Finally, complete Summer 2 Homework 5 in your books.

Year 9 French

This week, Year 9 French students will revise vocabulary from Unit 8, practise forming ‘si’ clauses and complete a writing task on this same unit.

Please log on to your French Google Classroom to access this week’s work. Download and watch the video and complete all exercises in your book or on lined paper. You should also complete your vocabulary test assignment.

Year 10 French
