Latest Covid-19 Guidelines

As the number of positive cases of COVID-19 cases in our community continues to fall, we have taken to the decision to update our policy regarding the use of facemasks in school.

From Monday, 14th March, the wearing of facemasks in classrooms and communal spaces will become optional for staff and students. We welcome staff to continue wearing facemasks if they feel more comfortable to do so, particularly in busier venues such as the lunch hall and during assemblies. However, we also recognise that the continued wearing of facemasks can pose a barrier to effective communication during lesson time. We have therefore made this decision with the best interests of our staff and students’ wellbeing and learning at heart.

Our other COVID-19 mitigation strategies have not changed.

If a staff member or student develops symptoms of COVID-19 and tests positive, then they must self-isolate at home for 5 days and return on day 6 if they have two negative LFD tests taken 24 hours apart on days 5 and 6.

If students choose to continue to wear facemasks, then they must be plain in style and either blue, grey, white or black.

Students wearing facemasks must wear them properly in school.

Students should continue to sanitise their hands upon entering and exiting classrooms and other shared spaces.

If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to ask the school. We are all here to help. You can speak to your teachers, Year Leader or email
