Welcome to the North West London Teaching School Hub, the Teaching School Hub for the three London boroughs of Brent, Barnet and Enfield.

The North West London Teaching School Hub is based at Wembley High Technology College, which is the founding school of the Wembley Multi-Academy Trust. WMAT prides itself in creating an ethos focused on excellence and central to this is the continuous development of teachers.

The NWLTSH leads in the following areas: -

  • Initial Teacher Training - North West London Train to Teach (ITT)
  • The Early Career Framework (ECF)
  • Appropriate Body Service (ABS)
  • National Professional Qualifications (NPQs)
  • Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

We look forward to working with all of the schools in our remit to support new entrants to the teaching profession and to develop and retain those already in the profession as they progress along the ‘golden thread’.

London Mayor Celebrates Wembley High's Success Yet Again

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has celebrated the exceptional performance of Wembley High Technology College as part of his Schools for Success programme. The school has been honoured for its commitment to reducing educational inequality and attaining exceptional results for children previously struggling academically. The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said: “I’d like to congratulate the staff of Wembley High Technology College for their exceptional work. We created Schools for Success to recognise the positive impact that teachers, headteachers, teaching assistants, support staff and governors are making every day to support students and reduce inequalities, and this school’s commitment to being supportive and inclusive sets a great example. Covid-19 has presented unforeseen challenges across our city but Wembley High Technology College has done a fantastic job in maintaining excellence during a very difficult time. Working together we can make sure that no young Londoner is left behind” Created in 2017, the Schools for Success programme was formed to enhance the support given to children from disadvantaged backgrounds. The programme acknowledges primary and secondary schools that prioritise progress for their lowest attaining pupils, are excelling in their performance overall and sharing their work with other schools through a series of webinars made available to all London schools. London Mayor Celebrates Wembley High's Success

Outstanding achievements of Wembley High Technology College recognised by the Mayor of London The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has celebrated the outstanding performance of Wembley High Technology College in Brent with an awards ceremony. The school was honoured for its work to reduce educational inequality and achieve exceptional results for children who were previously behind in their studies, at a Schools for Success awards ceremony. Wembley High Technology College has been recognised for its outstanding academic success and the progress pupils make from primary school to GCSE. The Schools for Success programme was created by the Mayor in 2017 to improve the support given to children from disadvantaged backgrounds. The programme recognises primary and secondary schools that ensure strong progress for their lowest attaining pupils, has a strong overall performance and shares their work with other schools.  The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said: “I’d like to congratulate the staff of Wembley High Technology College for their excellent work. Schools for Success was created to celebrate the difference that teachers, teaching assistants, support staff and governors are making every day to support children and reduce inequalities, and this school’s inclusive and supportive learning environment is a great example of this.
