Easter 2020

It's now the Easter holidays. Most importantly, we hope you are all well and keeping safe. This is an important time for you to rest and relax after the last few weeks which will have been difficult for everyone as we adjust to the new normal.

Some pupils and parents may want some work to do over the holidays to help pass the time. Therefore, below we have provided some for you but it is entirely OPTIONAL. It is entirely up to you if you wish to complete it. You can submit it to you teacher if you wish or in some cases the answers will be available for you to check the work yourself.

Remember to get in touch with someone at the school if you need any help with anything or have any concerns you would like to discuss. You can contact your subject teachers, Year Leader,  Mr Jeffery (rjeffery@whtc.co.uk) or Ms Lee (flee@whtc.co.uk) with any questions or concerns (even if they are about someone else at the school)

Hello historians!

All of your History teachers have been VERY impressed by the hard work you have put into your History home learning over the past two weeks. It’s been amazing to see how committed you are to continuing your History education. Keep up the brilliant work and, most importantly, we hope you have a restful Easter break!

HOLIDAY HOMEWORK COMPETITION!

Over the Easter Holidays the History department are running a competition for all students in Years 7 & 8!

The month of March has just ended, which also happened to be: WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH!

Women have played a vital role in our national and international history, and too often tend to be overlooked by the achievements of men. Therefore, we are holding a competition for all Year 7 and 8 students to write a one-page article focused on who YOU believe to be the most influential woman or group of women in history. They can be from any country and any time period!

If you’re keen to enter the competition, further information about it, and websites to help you complete your article, can be found by downloading the following sheet:
