Hello Geographers! You will find below links for Year 7, Year 8, Year 9 ,Year 10 , Year 11 and Years 12&13 to complete your Geography assignments for this week.

Your Geography teacher will also be emailing you with details of setting up a Google Classroom this will be where your lessons and videos can be viewed and downloaded and your work uploaded. Await an email from your teacher with more information.

Year 7:

You will continue to learn about the UK's challenges

To complete this week’s work you must:

  1. Go to the Google Drive by following this link https://drive.google.com/open?id=1-kpG9QN7SKdrmMKhjpFPftaGxqF0Skfd
  2. Double click on the project 3.
  3. A PowerPoint presentation will load. Read the instructions carefully on slide 1 and follow the rest of the PowerPoint with information and links to help you to complete the tasks.
  4. The tasks are within the powerpoint.
  5. When you complete the tasks, either do this on paper or on a word document on your device.
  6. When you have completed all your tasks, email back your work to your teacher with your name as the subject.  If you completed this on paper, take a photo of your work and email this to your teacher.
  7. The deadline for you to complete this is Friday 24th April (12pm)
  8. Your teacher will email you with extension tasks or challenge questions if you complete this.
  9. Any questions, email your geography teacher.

Year 8:

You will continue to learn about resources challenges around the world.

To complete this week’s work you must:

  2. Double click on the project 3.
  3. A PowerPoint presentation will load. Read the instructions carefully on slide 1 and follow the rest of the PowerPoint with information and links to help you to complete the tasks.

Year 9:

You will be working on the Weather hazards and climate change topic and reviewing the topics you learnt at the start of this academic year.

To complete this week’s work you must:

  2. Double click on your class folder.
  3. In the class folder select the folder with the date of the start of the week: Week beginning 20th April.
  4. Two lessons will be uploaded throughout the week following an email from your teacher.
  5. Within this folder will be the three lessons for the week: save a copy of the PowerPoint and open up and play the video.
  6. You should listen to the video and complete the questions and tasks as directed by your teacher. The tasks are in the video so you must watch this.
  7. Once you have completed the tasks for lesson 1, proceed to the following lessons for this week.
  8. When you complete the work, either do this on paper or on a word document on your device.
  9. When you have completed all your tasks, email back your work to your teacher with your name as the subject: if you completed this on paper, take a photo of your work and email this to your teacher.
  10. Keep a record of you work completed – if you have typed it on a device save it somewhere you can access it at a future date.
  11. The deadline for you to complete your work for this work is Friday 24th April at 12pm.

 

Year 10:

You will be continuing to learn about UK challenges and the synoptic links between physical processes and human activities in the UK.

10GG2B2, 10GG3B2 and 10GGSB2

You will be continuing to learn about weather and atmospheric processes and the associated hazards of tropical cyclones and drought.

10GG4B1, 10GG5B1, 10GG6B1 and 10GG7B1

You will be learning about the UK's changing landscapes and the different types of geological variation within the UK.

All year 10 classes must follow the steps below.

To complete this week’s work you must:
